Abstract. On the Krivoy Rog iron ore quarries pool used car, road-rail and road -conveyor transport modes. Road transport, which is most prevalent, can of pit and significantly limits their development due to long routes, the width of the carriageway two-lane roads and maneuvering areas at a reloading points.

Parameters road-rail reloading points for reducing their size are analyzed. A construct of pit automobile transport with mechanism for changing the center of gravity and axle distance are proposed. The use of this design of tipper can reduce of spread flank of an opencast. A little turning radius allows you to reduce the parameters of shunting areas at reloading points.

Keywords: pit, modes of transportation, reloading point, maneuvering area, dump truck, turning radius, angle of repose of flank of an opencast.
