Abstract.

 The paper presents a study of impact of constructive improvement of the mine dump trucks on parameters of the transport communications and formation of a highwall in the open pit. With the help of the improved tractive effort of the trucks it is possible to increase a longitudinal slope of the roads with their ensured safety. Dependence between increasing longitudinal slope of the roads and further separation of the pit walls was studied. A ratio of applied longitudinal slope of the road to the recommended slope was specified by a logarithmic function.

Inclined areas of the existing longitudinal slopes in the constant technological and temporary motor roads were analyzed in the "Poltava GOK" open pit. The recommended longitudinal gradients of the roads were calculated for deep horizons of the Poltava open pit. The design and recommended values of the existing longitudinal slopes in the constant technological and temporary roads were compared.
