Abstract.

In process of a computing experiment a stress-strain state of the rock massif around the longwall was calculated at face stepwise approaching to the dismantling drift. The detected specificity of the stress-strain state in the nearby massif allows to choose proper schemes for channel supporting with taking into account impact of the approaching longwall. A constructed function of transition based on the established assumptions allowed to determine coordinates for optimal failure of the rock layers. Analytical findings of this computing experiment conducted for the conditions of the Western Donbass mines showed a possibility of their effective use for making technical decisions concerning parameters of the stress concentration zones in conditions of interdependences  between preparatory roadway and face.
