Abstract. Analysis of working conditions during modernization of production showed that in the first place is intensity of job, which is characterized by the job content, sensory loads, perception of signals (information) and their evaluation. To a full degree it behaves to mine production. Mutual influence of the environment light indicators of and labor intensity in the regulations is not considered in terms of load on visual analyzer. Evaluation criteria for working places light indexes for the environment with artificial lighting in the first 8 hours refer to harmful working conditions that require elaborations of measures aimed at bringing them to acceptable level. During the analysis of light environment and establishment of a class of working conditions mental load and age range of workers must be taken into account. While assessing quality of the workplace lighting, it is necessary to consider some fotobiological effect of light and its interaction with labor intensity. The LED lighting differs from any other types of traditional light sources and allows to create dynamic lighting with new possibilities and to influence biological processes in human body, so the impact of the LED lighting on the staff’s visual performance creates a basis for further investigation of interdependence between work intensity and quality of artificial light environment.

Keywords. working conditions, work intensity, light environment, LED lighting.
