Abstract.

Heavy vibrating mining machines (vibratory feeders, vibrating screens, etc.) are operated in very high-load modes and in aggressive environments. Their operational reliability is influenced by factors of both physical and chemical fields. These are large dynamic loads, the presence of vibration, the impact on the machine of solutions of acids and alkalis, etc. Widely used as elastic links in the designs of vibrating machines are elements such as BP (rubber vibration isolators), BRM (rubber-metal blocks), SRM (rubber-metal hinges). In these parts, cushioning rubber is used as the elastic material. Therefore, the reliability of the entire vibrating machine, to a greater extent depends on the reliability of its elastic links.

The article presents the results of theoretical and experimental studies aimed at determining the operational reliability indicators of rubber-metal vibration dampers and supports of heavy mining machines.

Studies show that the main reason for failure of vibration insulators of machines is a change in the physical and mechanical properties of the material, which, under prolonged cyclic loading and exposure to an aggressive environment, manifest themselves in a change in the basic properties and parameters of the elements. Such defects include the appearance of large residual deformations, wear, abrasion of rubber, the appearance of visible fatigue cracks on the free surface of rubber and the development of main cracks, peeling of the rubber mass from metal reinforcement, loss of bearing capacity, and loss of stability, change in stiffness and dissipative parameters, etc.

The main and most accurate source of data when determining reliability indicators is operational observations and reliability tests of vibrating machines. And to predict their failure-free operation, it is necessary to establish the law of distribution of the occurrence of failures. So in the work it is justified that the Weibull distribution is accepted for elastomeric elements as the main mathematical model for predicting their resource and operability.

Reliability indicators for the rubber-metal elements of the BRM102 type (rubber-metal blocks), BPM (vibration isolators, rubber-metal) installed on vibration feeders for ore production and delivery were evaluated based on the results of unfinished operational tests for reliability according to the plan /N, R, T/. For the element failure criterion, the appearance of main (fatigue) cracks in the rubber massif was taken. Prediction of reliability indicators of vibration insulators of machines by changing their stiffness is considered on the example of changing the stiffness of rubber-metal elements of BRM102 type.
