RESEARCH OF DYNAMICS OF THE POINT SWITCH DRIVES IN THE MINE RAILWAY TRANSPORT

Abstract.

The research subjects are: dynamics of the point switch drives in the mode of tongue throwing; interdependence between throwing modes in the joints of point switches contact and reliability of their functioning; and determination of boundary parameters for these processes. A mathematical model of the point switch drive functioning in the mode of the tongue throwing is presented. Dependences of maximum allowable time period for the tongue throwing and maximum allowable throwing force on the tongue length were defined. The model shows that the allowable time period for the tongue throwing is a function of the tongue length. The findings were used for designing automated drives for point switches of the mine railway transport, analyzing process of interaction between the tongue and frame rails, and ensuring reliable operation of point switches in the underground rail transport.
