Abstract.
The article presents results of experimental researches of impact of the 3D compression occurred at the impact loads due to the contact deformations of elastomeric protective layer on the working surfaces of mining machines. It is shown that contact rigidity of the deformable rubber plate in the liner increases by 20-45% to rigidity of elementary volume under the indenter due to the action of the 3D compression in the elastic plate containing the elementary volume in zone of deformation. The author revealed dependence between indentation force and area and hardness of the rubber liner at permanent depth of hardness indentation in zone of the rubber linear deformation. While calculating the liner thickness for maximal impact loads caused by falling pieces of rocks, it is recommended to take into account a fixed correction factor by way of increasing dynamic module of elastomer compression. A formula is presented for re-calculating of the rubber hardness for the module used in the calculations.
