THEORETICAL STUDY OF PRESSURE DIFFERENCE IN THE FILTER RESPIRATORS

Abstract. Pressure difference in the dust mask was studied at periodic motion of air. The key Navier-Stokes equations of motion with neglected inertial force were used in order to study process of gas laminar filtration through the respirator. The study was based on the solution proposed by G. Lamb.

Resistance of parallel fiber system was determined at air flow unevenly streamed around the fibers when the air flow was changed according to the harmonic law. Equations were defined for the air passing through the respirator filter at breathing. Changing of pressure differences were theoretically studied depending on breathing duration. Parameters were received which could help to estimate dependence between pressure difference in the respirator and breathing duration. It was found that with increased phase of breathing distribution of pressure in the filter was uneven.
