Abstract.

A pressing problem of improving reliability and energy efficiency of the compressor units in conditions of the coal mines was solved by the authors. The competitive domestic nitrogen membrane stations were created, and layout diagrams for compressor plants were designed in order to produce gaseous nitrogen. Permeability, performance, pressure distribution in the blocks made of hollow fiber membranes were simulated under different external conditions and parameters of the gaseous medium. Experimental dependences between performance of the membrane gas- separating units and a value of the given nitrogen concentration and air temperature were established, which allow to optimize the unit layout and operating conditions. First domestic automatic methane-disposal plant was designed with remote automatic data transfer, productivity 570-1551 m3, power consumption 60 kW, heat output 5,8 MW. The failure regularities of the nodes of the screw compressor machines, which work in the mining industry, were studied; the most critical units of the compressor machines were specified; and a set of measures is proposed for optimizing the machine operating life. Facilities of automation, control, remote monitoring were designed for the compressor machines and specialized equipment to ensure their safety and power efficient operation in the mines.
