Abstract.

Rapid growth of man-caused progress in the world during the last decades brings to increased demand on natural resources and sources of energy. It leads to increase of mining operations that influenced on environment and ecological situation in the mining regions. Thereupon, it is necessary to find new technological solutions on reclamation of the damaged lands. Since the biggest man-caused object in any quarry that is not subject to reclamation is residual space, the research works should be focused on decrease area of the residual space. The main criterion of the improved reclamation quality is the land which are additionally renewed for the needs of agriculture and civil and industrial engineering.

Key words:

open cast mining, reclamation, residual space of quarry.
