ADDITIONAL LOADS ON TUNNEL ARCH SUPPORTS UNDER THE ACTION OF OVERHEAD MONORAIL IN THE WESTERN DONBAS MINES

Abstract.

Basing on analysis of current schemes of auxiliary transport used in Western Donbas mines, their key drawbacks and methods for their improvement were determined. Stability rates of the schemes were specified with taking into account parameters of cargo traffic, characteristics of transport facilities and conditions of the rocks around the preparatory roadways.

Unlike of previous studies, this paper considers conditions of interaction between moving monorail equipment, arch supports and rock massif. Parameters of additional loads caused by impact of overhead monorail on the tunnel arch supports in the coal mines are determined and substantiated.

This method was used in Western Donbas mines for determining dependence between changes of additional loads and impact of moving monorail equipment on the arch supports in the tunnels. The results obtained are presented in this article.

These results can be used in the mining, metallurgical and building industries.
