Abstract.

The article describes method of calculating changes in the fiber packing density by thickness of the dust filter for the conditions of the mining enterprises. Basic laws have been established to determine fiber parameters, which could ensure minimal pressure drop at maximum dust capacity. Conditions are specified for obtaining optimal distribution of the fiber packing density with minimal pressure drop in the filter layers. It is proved that the longer filter is exposed to dust the lighter should be packing density in initial layers of filtering material, and in order to provide the needed protective efficacy, the fiber packing density should be increased in the lower layer.
