Abstract.
The results of experimental studies to determine the static and dynamic characteristics (stiffness in compression, shear, logarithmic decrement, damping coefficient taking into account the structural damping) of seismic supports are given in the paper. Four support types were subjected to research, their dimensions are: a) height (rubber) 2´120 mm and diameter of 400 mm; b) support 2´70 mm and 400 mm diameter; c) height 2´50 mm and diameter of 480 mm; d) support 2´50 mm and diameter of 500 mm. The “force – displacement” dependence under the vertical and shear loads, dissipative characteristics of the developed seismic supports are obtained according to the research. Developed structures of the support are able to provide the natural frequency of the building in the horizontal plane of 1 Hz or less.
Keywords:
seismic supports, stiffness in compression, shear stiffness, logarithmic damping factor of oscillations
