DETERMINING OF HYDRODYNAMIC PARAMETERS FOR SEPARATOR WITH DIVIDING HYDROSURFACE

Abstract:
The paper represents results on determining hydrodynamic and geometric parameters of the two-layer jet, which are needed for analyzing process of solid material particles moving in the jet.
Shifting processes of the jets moving with different velocities (velocity of the lower jet is greater than velocity of the upper jet) and formation of a two-layer jet after the jets mixing are considered on the basis of a theory of turbulent jets and model of the frictionless liquid. Main zones of shifting are considered: an initial zone where velocity profile in the form of the Shlihting profile is used for some parameters of the shifting, and a main zone where a semiempirical method is used for determining these parameters.
On the grounds of the obtained equations the dependences between length of the mixing range and kinematic characteristics of jets are obtained.
