Abstract. Increase of mineral production by surface mining method leads to increase the mining depth and corresponding volumes of water contented rocks whose blasted breaking is carried out using expensive high explosives. The employment such explosives in non-metalliferrous quarries leads to increasing the blasting cost and volumes of small-sized fractions (mineral losses) and also gas and dust blow outinto the atmosphere of quarries. Taking as a basis hydrodynamic сonditions of water content blastholes and test bench studies of basic parameters long сharges variousmeans and technologies forming the blastholes charges with account the level of water were worked out and implemented. One of ways reducing blasting cost and the small-sized fractions volume in non-metalliferrous quarries is the design of blashole charge with variable diameter in plastic hoses. Industrial tests and inculcation of new technology of blasted breaking were carried out on flux quarries of Dokuchaevsk flaxing dolomite plant. In addition the qualitative rock’s breaking was achieved, the volume of small-sized fractions was reduced and it was saved up to 12 % of explosives.
Keywords: Keywords: water contented rocks, blasting, blashole charges, non-metalliferrous quarries, small-sized fractions, plastic hoses, eсology.
