A COMPLEX METHOD FOR ASSESSING ATMOSPHERE AIR POLLUTION BASING ON ADVERSE EVENT PROBABILITIES

Abstract. The paper describes a method for air pollution complex assessment basing on algorithmic estimation of statistical probabilities of complex events which characterize the environment pollution. A key hypothesis of the study is based on a possibility of creating the process phenomenological models which differ by multidimensional field representation of experimental data and by existence of a scalar field of statistical probability of joint events occurrence which reflect an аir pollution rate. The proposed method, in contrast to the conventional methods, uses an objective approach with no expert dependencies for the assessment. As an example, the paper presents a complex assessment of urban pollution in Ukraine on the basis of observations of Hydrometeorological Center of Ukraine during the period from 2003 to 2012. The cities were ranked according to rates of their air pollution.
