Abstract. In the article, problems of starting and braking of short vertical conveyers are considered. Design models are grounded, equations of dynamic equilibrium are formulated, and results of analysis and generalization of the solution received are presented. It is stated that vibrations in the hauling organ of the short conveyer are quickly dumped, and they can be neglected; at the same time, strength of the conveyer belt, in starting moment, substantially depends on the stroke moment of engine and correlation of the masses of loaded and empty belts. For service braking, braking lengthand speed are specified depending on tension of the conveyer loaded and empty belts and braking force. For the emergency braking, braking time, dependence between moving and speed after braking and stroke moment of engine are specified. The findings can be used for validation of conveyer parameters with taking into account dynamic loading of its elements at starting and braking.
Keywords: conveyer, belt, starting, braking, equalization of equilibrium.
