Abstract. In this work, different types of equipment for vertical shafts are analyzed in terms of providing proper cage trip, and their advantages and failings are described. Possible methods for improving equipments in the mine vertical shafts are considered. Introduction of rope-type equipment, having permanent inflexibility of guide on the depth of shaft and high dissypative properties, will allow: to reduce of steel intensity of equipment in 10-15 times as compared to hard equipment; to reduce parametric resonance vibrations in the system of «vessel-equipment»; it is considerably to prolong the term of service of explorers as compared to flexible equipment trunk; to reduce expenses on maintenance of equipment of shaft and his aerodynamic resistance; to reduce the expenses of electric power on ventilation; to multiply intensity of the lifting setting on the factor of equipment; it is considerably to reduce capital costs on building, due to the decline of diameter of  shaft, as compared to flexible equipments; to reduce expenses on a reconstruction, exploitation of both existent and again built vertical shafts of mines; to promote efficiency of mining in the conditions of work on deep horizons of mines and pits.
