Abstract. Experiments were carried out with various liquid dielectrics and electrodes made of different materials. In the context of different electrodes, dependences of conductivity and velocity are typical: the Ohm’s law is met within low-voltage section of the dependence. Within high-voltage section, the dependence is G = kU + c. Anomalous character of the dependence has been identified for those electrode metals where electron liberation level is low. Coefficient of high-voltage conductivity depends upon electrode material. It means that high-voltage conductivity is determined by means of surface ionization; and velocity of EHD-flow depends upon charge generating on the electrode surface.
Keywords: EHD flow, boundary ionization, surface ionization, electrode material, high voltage, electron liberation from metal, liquid dielectrics, charge generation.
