Abstract.

The authors analyze geological conditions of gas content in middle carbon of Western Donbass. Within Lozovsk district, the most promising intervals were selected for estimating potential gas-saturation of the sandstones. On the basis of the findings, it is concluded that further geological works are needed for studying possibilities of the gas complex recovery: nitrogen from the shallow horizons (less than 1000 meter) and methane from the deeper horizons (1000 – 1800 meter and more).
