UP-TO-DATE FACILITIES FOR ON-LINE VENTILATION CONTROL IN THE ORE MINES

Abstract. Necessity of air-flow controller application in the mine ventilation system to ensure safe working conditions for miners was proved. Analytical results on operation of ventilation systems and means of air flow control in the tunnels of Krivbass mines are given. Air-flow controllers of parachute type are proposed to be applied for ventilation flow control in the working horizons and stopes. A new design is proposed for the controller main features of which allow to improve its operating characteristics and efficiency of air flow control in the mine ventilation networks. Impact of the controller shrouds on the rate of tunnel deformation was studied at regulated air flow consumption. Results of the air-flow controller testing in the ore mines are given.
