Abstract. Currently, one of the basic sectors of the Ukrainian economy – mining industry - is experiencing rapid growth of mineral mining. However, further increase in volume and improvement of quality of raw materials is impossible without effective economic management and changed approaches to technologies of production and modernization of the mining enterprises. Blasting operations are still a key process in technology of ore and other mineral extraction comprising a large share of the production cost. The paper presents analysis of use of mixing-pumping-hauling equipment for handling emulsion explosive "Ukrainite" in quarries of the Krivoy Rog iron ore basin and underground mines of Ukraine. Blasting breaking is analyzed at using the emulsion explosive, and a plan for further  study is set.

Keywords: mine, open-pit, emulsion explosive.
