Abstract.
The article presents results of industrial tests of using of hydrodynamic impact before crossing of coal seam by intermediate crosscut in order to prevent sudden coal and gas outburst. The industrial tests were carried out in accordance with the methodology approved by the Bureau of the Central Commission for ventilation , drainage and gas-dynamic phenomena control in the mines of coal industry of Ukraine. As a result, parameters of hydrodynamic impact on coal seam before its opening were corrected. A map of technological wells locations for performing hydrodynamic impact via one well onto the coal seam m3 - “Tolstuy” and m2 – “Tonkiy” before their opening by intermediate crosscut was designed.
