Abstract.

The article describesprocesses which occur in combined plasmachemical reactors and which affect erosive wear of electrodes made of ordinary electrode graphite, grade EG – 0. Rate of such graphite anode erosive wear in electric and magnetic fields with controllable value is specified.

It is stated that rate of cathode spot rotation has an effect on the mass flow rate of electrode erosion in different oxidizing medium, and an oxidizing medium in the reaction chamber (air, carbon-containing) has an effect on the mass flow rate of graphite electrode erosion.

It is specified that dependences exist between mass flow rate of electrode erosion, arc current and rate of the electrode rotation, and direct dependence exists between the rate of electrode rotation and magnetic field of solenoid.
