Abstract. Based on the experimental data, an analysis of the change in the methane concentration in the worked-out space was carried out. The effectiveness evaluation was carried out and the choice of rational ventilation schemes and methods of degassing was used for their combined use in these mining and geological conditions. The nature of gasdynamic processes during the stopping and renewal of degassing for various time intervals is considered taking into account the change in the ventilation scheme of the excavation site. Empirical dependencies describing the change in methane concentration in a vent stream are obtained.
