Abstract. The questions of influencing of position of cages in a shaft and its moving on the change of aerodynamic characteristics of shafts and modes of work of main fans are considered. It is shown, that most alterations in the process of ventilation are made by an aerodynamic snteraction at meeting motion of cages in a shaft. The method of estimation of the aerodynamic state of the system «shaft – shaft equipment – cage – ventilation stream» at different terms of motion of cage is offered. Conducted supervisions at work of this system in the conditions of mine «1/3 Novogrodovskaya», based on information of the checking system UTAS functioning on a mine, showed that influencing of motion of cage in a ventilation shaft told not only on air-distribution ajoining areas of mine but also on descriptions of work of main fan on the given shaft.
