Abstract. The article presents theoretical generalization and comparison of available data on geological exploration of and prospects for the Polissya amber deposit mining in order to develop mineral base of the deposit. It can be achieved on the basis of more effective methods of further geological exploration and amber extraction. The Klesivske and Volodymyrets Eastern regions, which were studied in full details at each stage of exploration, locate within the Polissya area of the Rivne region. According to zoning, these deposits represent geographically dispersed ambercontaining areas (Klesiv and Volodymyrets) and differ by their geological structure in terms of spatial location of the actual amber deposits. The current economic situation in Ukraine gives top priority to low-cost analytical work, which can transfer a significant amount of geological material to scientifically grounded conclusions and alternative methods of low-cost mining.
Keywords: amber, deposition, geological conditions, lithologic-facial sections, deposits.
