Abstract. In the article, solution of the pressing task - validation of methods for monitoring and improving algorithms for estimating states of the rock massif and mine workings and their use in the automated mine-safety systems – is presented. The method for estimating geomechanical safety of mining operations was further developed, which now takes into account potential risks of occurrence of emergencies due to the factors that affect stability of the “support-rocks” system. Criteria for estimating level of geomechanical safety are based on statistics of previous observations, data of instrumental and automated monitoring of the rock massif and mine workings and results of computer simulation of the pre-emergency situation dynamics. Information and digital hardware technologies were improved to be used in automated remote security-monitoring system. New algorithms are proposed, which reject false values, convert digital signals from the time domain into the frequency domain, and improve reliability of and reduce volume of geotechnical information transmitted. The methods and the algorithms can be used for improving existing and developing new mine-safety systems.
Keywords: mine safety, automated systems, remote rock-massif control, simulation, geomechanics.
