Annotation.
The DTEK ENERGO is the most powerful private coal-mining company in Ukraine. Complicated conditions typical for the mining operations in its enterprises (high categories by gas factor, danger by sudden outbursts, etc.) require creating of innovative approaches to organization of works in the field of labour protection and industrial safety. To this end, a concept «critical technical risk» (CTR) was introduced, and the most frequent risk-creating technogeneous emergencies happened in the DTEK ENERGO mines such as methane explosions, fires and sudden outbursts, were considered. For these emergencies, a maximally detailed tree of effect relations should be compiled, and on the basis of its analysis, the existing and new innovative technologies can be used for the KTR decrease, including: modern systems for controlling aerological, temperature and gas modes in mine, disconnection of electric power, data and emergency notification transmission; facilities related to organization of individual notification of miners about features of emergency situation; automatic systems for controlling gas drainage (ASCGD), which control concentrations, temperatures, pressures of gas-air mixture in the key points of gas-drainage pipeline and in the gas-drainage boreholes; software for information-analytical technologies for calculating vent and gas-drainage systems with the purpose of real-time modelling of factual state of ventilation in normal and emergency modes; realization of gas-drainage from the surface; improvement of fire protection, automatic start-up of plan of accident elimination and effective use of the system of anti-emergency defense facilities; modern fire-extinguishing means; systems for dangerous approach detection. Use of these and newly developed methods, software and hardware for controlling safety and technological and aerological risks will allow the Ukrainian coal industry to use the EEC normative base and practical experience and to improve safety of labour.
