Abstract.

Objective of the study was to determine effectiveness of the iron ore dehydration with different parameters of the dewaterer and to formulate multiple regression equations.

Preliminary studies of dehydration by the complex method have shown promising results.

The article presents results of the complex iron ore dehydration. The dewaterer used three mechanical methods of dehydration - vibration, vacuum and electroosmosis. Effect of each of the methods was determined. The dependences of residual moisture and dewaterer performance on the following seven factors were formulated: initial moisture content in the iron ore, surface area for dehydration, changed pressure in the vacuum chamber, voltage across the electrodes, frequency of oscillation, angle of the working member inclination, and power of disturbing force.

Basing on the findings, it has become possible to determine the most effective method of the milled iron ore dehydration and to formulate multiple regression equations.
