Abstract.

The paper generalizes fundamental and applied study performed by the contributor team concerning scandium recovery by Levextrel-type materials named TVEX based on various organophosphorus compounds as well as by phosphorus-containing ion-exchange resins. The main milestones are shown in scientific and manufacturing cooperation on scandium recovery from uranium-containing mineral raw as well as from titanium-magnesium production wastes. The authors performed a complex research on the patterns of extraction of scandium solid extractants based on neutral organophosphorus compounds, environments. At the same time the difference was found in extraction of scandium by liquid and injected into the matrix TVEX extractants which explained the change in the composition of the extractable complexes caused by the influence of the polymer matrix TVEX. Equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic properties of scandium extraction hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric acids, phosphorus-containing ion exchange resins were determined during the studies.
