Abstract. Operating in Ukraine radiation control regulations do not take into account the need to monitor mining operations, which previously mined uranium ore. On the basis of this article provides the rationale for performing radiation monitoring of objects and the example of the company LLC "Vostok-Ruda" shows the order of the meeting.
The analysis of the experience of ecological monitoring of mine water of the former uranium mining company. It is shown that the discharge of mine water will not result in radioactive contam-ination of the environment and increase public exposure. Possible maximum contamination of bot-tom sediments and coastal natural radionuclides 238U and 234U will 0,002-2% of the available and will not have a significant impact on environmental pollution. The results of monitoring of 238U in the water of the Zheltaya River and the rivers Ingulets.
Keywords: mine water, radiation monitoring, dose loads on the population.
