Abstract. The article presents grounds for certain process flowsheet for mining the watered Motronovsko-Annivsky site in the Malyshevskiy placer titanium-zirconium deposit. Geological and geotechnical factors which determine specificity of the Motronovsko-Annivsky site opencast min-ing are presented in full details. The site hydrogeological characteristics are described basing on which rational mine transport equipment should be chosen. Two key methods are presented for mining the watered benches with the ore sands and overlaying overburdens. The main stages of the watered flooded deposit mining are described, which include formation of a pit, uncover of the ore layer and launch of the dredge for the ore sand recovery. The researches fulfilled allow to make a choice in favor of the combined method for mining the watered titanium-zirconium deposits by us-ing underwater ore extraction with the help of dredges.

Keywords: watered deposits, mining operations, ore sand, dredge.
