Abstract. The man-caused problems of Donbass are considered in terms of: improvement of effectiveness of metallurgical flux production with observance of strict environmental requirements; maximal extraction of useful components from the depths; and multiple use of mineral raw materi-als in combination with the land resource conservation.
As an example, the companies producing metallurgical fluxes are taken for considering multi-ple use of mineral resources on the example of their waste storing areas.
Recommendations on controlling quality and consumer properties of marketable products are presented with taking into account technological peculiarities of the loose rock formation and seg-regation during the stockpiling.
Schemes are proposed for the storing area selective unloading by different types of excavators. An example is given where the slope stability in the waste dumps and finished products warehouses is control with taking into consideration segregation manifestations in the loose rocks.
Keywords: man-caused impacts, metallurgical fluxes, multiple use, resource conservation.
