Abstract.

We consider the deformation characteristics of the type of RMB elements (rubber-metallic blocks), which are widely used in various machines (vibrating feeders, conveyors, screens, crushers, etc.) in the form of elastic units and vibration isolators. Simple shear deformations and a combination of compression and shear deformations are realized in such elements during machine operation. Elements depending on the purpose can be made of rubber with different filling measure. The article discusses the following effects accompanying deformation of elements: the impact of preload; influence of the direction of the supplied deformation; the effect of the measure of filling of rubber carbon black. We also investigated the parameters of dissipative heating during long cyclic loading, steady-state temperature field.

Keywords:

BRM type shear elements, filled rubber, dissipative heating, stationary temperature field
